The Austrian based company Pro-Ject calls this test record “The Ultimate Pickup Test Record”, and we are inclined to agree.

If you are a vinyl enthusiast without any other measurement equipment than your ears, this definitely is one of the best test records around these days.

The Pro-Ject LP Vinyl Essentials test record has all the basic hi-fi equipment adjustment possibilities like channel orientation and phasing of your system, but of course also the more vinyl and cartridge  specific test possibilities like crosstalk level, tracking ability test and tonearm resonance test.

Wisely Pro-Ject has included three Tracking ability partitions on the LP Vinyl Essentials, because these tracks are especially exposed to heavy wear. This makes this test record from Pro-Ject very durable. 

The accompanying text on the sleeve also includes brief guidelines in regard to correct azimuth and vertical tracking angle settings together with cartridge cable connection guidelines.

The thorough and easy to understand text instruction for each test is included in both English and German on the cover.
