Audio Technica Stylus Replacements
The Audio Technica AT-91 cartridge came in three variants, the elliptical AT-91E and the spherical AT-91 and AT-91R. The recommended tracking force is 1.5g - 2.5g with 2.0g being the recommended optimum.
ATN-91 stylus for Audio Technica AT-91
The yellow ATN-91 was the simplest AT-91 stylus. The original has a .6 mil spherical tip bonded to a carbon cantilever. Our aftermarket replacements use an aluminium alloy cantilever instead.

ATN-91R stylus for Audio Technica AT-91R
The red ATN-91R stylus is a small step up from the plain ATN-91. The tip is still a .6 mil spherical, but it is bonded to a high quality aluminium alloy (rather than carbon) cantilever.

ATN-91E Stylus for Audio Technica ATN-91E
We cannot offer an original ATN-91E stylus. Instead we recommend our Tonar aftermarket replacement. It combines a high quality aluminium alloy cantilever with an elliptical tip in order to track and sound better than the spherical offerings.

The Audio Technica AT-91 family uses the same cartridge body as the Audio Technica AT-3600 and CN-5625AL families and styli can be exchanged freely between them. Compared to styli produced for the AT-3600 those for AT-91 are more compliant and require less tracking force. The spherical tip diameter of .6 mil is slightly lower than the .7 mil used for CN-5625AL styli.
