Sony XL-15, XL-15A and VL-15 cartridges share the ND-15G replacement stylus. It is a spherical (conical) stylus with a tracking force in the range of 1,2g - to 2,5g (1,7g optimum). Our replacement options aim to follow the same tracking force recommendations.
The XL-15 cart was mounted standard on a significant number of turntables from Sony including PS-X4, PS-X6, PS-X7, PS-X33, PS-X35, PS-X45, PS-X50 and PS-X60. Also the Sony PS-T range was sold with XL-15 at least in some regions. These include PS-T1, PS-T15, PS-T20, PS-T25,
Sony also sold a variant called XL-15A. Specs are identical to XL-15 and the replacement styli are interchangeable meaning the above styli will fit the XL-15A equally well. Sony PS-T22, PS-T33 are examples of Sony turntables sold with XL-15A labelled cartridge.
Finally the VL-15G cartridges which also uses same ND-15G replacement needles as XL-15 and XL-15A was seen on for example Sony PS-10F / PS-10FB and Sony PS-T20.
Please do a thorough visual comparison to make sure the ND-15G stylus looks identical to your current stylus before buying. Cartridges are replaced for others and exceptions occur so it may no longer be the correct stylus for your turntable.
