Mirrored Alignment Protractor

This simple alignment protractor will help you minimize the tracking error of your turntable in accordance with the Baerwald approach: The two null points of the protractor are placed such that the tracking distortion at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the record is approximately the same and within reasonable bounds when you play records of the most common layout (DIN IEC 98).

If you use the alignment protractor in a thorough manner you will achieve precise adjustment of both cartridge overhang and cartridge angular offset in accordance with the Baerwald recommendations.

The surface is mirrored to aid the adjustment of azimuth or horisontal balance.
