Anti-skating is essential for good channel balance between the left and right channels. Along with ensuring the distortion is minimized. Should there, for some reason, be too little or too much anti-skating (your tonearm “skipping” across the record) then this anti-skating weight is designed to ensure the balance of your turntable is restored.
