Audio Technica AT-ART9XI MC Cartridge

The Audio Technica ART9XI has the very fine Special Line Contact stylus tip and is together with ART9XA the top of the line of the new  ART9 series. They are an update of the discontinued AT-ART7.

The nude Special Line Contact diamant stylus tip of the Audio Technica ART9XI is mounted on a 0.28 mm diameter solid boron cantilever. The Special Line Contact delivers a smooth and detailed sound with a high level of micro dynamics.

The “ART” in the model number stands for Audio-Technica Reference Transducer, a designation that Audio Technica only gives to their flagship phono cartridges. Compared with the magnetic core used in most MC cartridges, non-magnetic core cartridges are free from magnetic distortion, allowing for natural timbre and a precise sound field. 

Audio Technicas dual moving coil ART9XI has the universal ½”-mount and threaded inserts in the cartridge body, which enable the cartridge to be mounted to the headshell with just two screws.
