The National/Technics EPC-270 family of cartridges comprises numerous variants, like the EPC-270D and EPC-270C (originals and mk II). Between variants only the styli differ and any EPS-270 replacement or original needle will fit a cartridge in the EPC-270 family. EPS-270ED Stylus for Technics EPC-270C
The EPS-270ED had an elliptical tip, which was the most advanced stylus offered by Technics at the time. Our elliptical replacements will substitute for both the mk I and the mk II originals. The original elliptical styli from Technics performed beyond the norm for the elliptical category. For those that want to get as close as possible to the original EPC-270C, a nude elliptical or hyper-elliptical (line contact) stylus may be the best economy choice.

Technics EPC-270C Upgrade Stylus
If you want to elevate you EPC-270C or D to a new level of sound quality, then one of our highly optimized JICO SAS replacements may be the right choice. These needles all combine exceptional cantilevers with the renowned Super Analogue Stylus (SAS) tip that enjoys a very high quality Fine-line profile. The SAS on Boron is exceptional in terms of tracking ability due to the light and very stiff cantilever. Remarkably, however, the SAS on sapphire seems to exhibit even faster transient responses.
